The Work Behind the Framework

Why FOUNDATIONS Exists
The FOUNDATIONS framework grew from direct delivery experience. Every stage addresses a real, recurring pattern that causes CRM programmes to stall, overspend or underdeliver.
Governance gaps that turn three-week decisions into three-month delays. Service design that maps the current state but never defines the future. Requirements written by people who have never worked in Agile. System Administrators appointed six months too late.
MKAL developed the framework to address all of this before the first sprint begins.
How Maven Kairos Works
MKAL provides a Fractional Director of Transformation service, embedded within the client's leadership team for the duration of the engagement. Hannah Garvin leads engagements and sits within the governance structure, attends boards, co-delivers workshops and ensures the work lands.
Where engagements require additional specialist capability, MKAL places experienced professionals to execute specific stages of the FOUNDATIONS framework. This includes CRM specialists, service designers, capability assessors and delivery leads. The client works with Maven Kairos as a single engagement. MKAL manages the team, the methodology and the quality of delivery.
The approach is calm, direct and grounded in what is realistic. MKAL does not oversell or overcomplicate. The focus is on getting the right structures in place and making sure the people who need to own them are equipped to do so.
Beyond CRM
MKAL's roots stretch across food product innovation, scaled retail operations, PMO builds, ISO readiness, software delivery and operating model design. CRM transformation is where the FOUNDATIONS framework is focused today. The principles of structural readiness, governance, service design and capability apply to any complex organisational change.
Maven Kairos exists because the same pattern kept showing up. Organisations invested in transformation platforms and change programmes without the structural readiness to make any of it land. The technology worked. The governance did not.
MKAL was founded by Hannah Garvin, a transformation specialist with over 20 years of delivery experience across product launches, software builds, PMO design, digital transformation and programme leadership. That experience spans Australian retail, UK retail and manufacturing, growth-stage startups, public sector and higher education.
The consistent lesson across all of it: the thing that makes transformation succeed or fail is rarely the technology. It is whether the organisation can own what is being built. Governance that works. Service design that reflects the real experience. Internal capability that does not disappear when the external partner leaves.
